Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective date: November 7, 2026
Last updated: November 4, 2026
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") establishes the rules for using services provided by Purpify Host ("Purpify", "we", "us", or "our").
This policy applies to all customers, users, accounts, hosted applications, game servers, and infrastructure associated with Purpify.
By using our services, you agree to follow this policy alongside our Terms of Service and other applicable agreements.
Our goal is to maintain a secure, reliable, and fair hosting environment for everyone.
2. General Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for their hosted applications, server configurations, administrators, and activities they authorise.
You agree to:
- Use our services only for lawful purposes.
- Respect applicable software, game, and plugin licences.
- Maintain appropriate security for your accounts and applications.
- Respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of others.
- Follow the resource limitations of your purchased hosting plan.
- Cooperate reasonably with legitimate security investigations.
Customers are not automatically responsible for unauthorised activity by unrelated visitors merely because they operate a publicly accessible server.
You must not impersonate Purpify, falsely claim our endorsement, or deliberately misrepresent your relationship with us.
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Purpify infrastructure.
3.1 Cybersecurity Threats
- Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software.
- Conducting phishing, credential theft, or fraudulent operations.
- Operating botnets or command-and-control infrastructure.
- Launching or facilitating distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
- Accessing systems, networks, or accounts without authorisation.
- Performing vulnerability scanning, exploitation, or penetration testing against third-party systems without permission.
- Intercepting communications or traffic without lawful authorisation.
3.2 Fraud and Abuse
- Operating fraudulent websites, payment systems, or deceptive services.
- Distributing stolen credentials, access tokens, or personal information.
- Sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages.
- Operating open mail relays or deliberately bypassing anti-abuse protections.
- Evading account restrictions, suspensions, payment verification, or technical resource limits through deception.
3.3 Illegal or Harmful Content
- Hosting or distributing unlawful child sexual abuse material.
- Facilitating human exploitation or trafficking.
- Publishing credible threats of violence.
- Unlawfully disclosing private or sensitive personal information.
- Hosting content that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Distributing or facilitating other material or activities prohibited by applicable law.
4. Resource Usage
Customers must operate within the resource limits of their purchased hosting plans, including CPU, RAM, storage, and network allocations.
The following activities are not permitted without prior written authorisation:
- Cryptocurrency mining or comparable continuous compute-intensive workloads.
- Using game hosting plans primarily as bulk file storage.
- Operating unrelated proxy services, VPN gateways, or traffic relays on plans not intended for them.
- Intentionally overloading shared infrastructure.
- Running processes designed to bypass resource restrictions.
- Attempting to obtain unauthorised access to host systems or other customers' environments.
Normal resource-intensive workloads that remain within the agreed service limits are not automatically violations.
Where possible, we will notify customers of resource-related concerns and provide an opportunity to adjust their configurations before imposing restrictions.
5. Server and Application Security
Customers are responsible for taking reasonable precautions to secure their hosted services.
This includes maintaining appropriate access permissions, using secure authentication, and updating vulnerable software where reasonably possible.
You must not:
- Attempt to escape containers or other hosting isolation mechanisms.
- Interfere with another customer's service.
- Attempt to obtain unauthorised host-level privileges.
- Deliberately exploit vulnerabilities in Purpify infrastructure.
Suspected security vulnerabilities should be reported privately through our official support channels.
Responsible security research does not authorise access to other customers' data or disruption of our services.
6. Game Server and Community Management
Customers operating game servers or other public communities should implement appropriate moderation and administrative controls.
You are responsible for the conduct of administrators acting with your authorisation and for responding reasonably to confirmed abuse involving your services.
We do not require customers to prevent every possible instance of misconduct by unrelated visitors.
Customers must also comply with applicable game publisher terms and software licensing requirements.
7. Privacy and Personal Data
Customers who collect or process personal data through hosted applications are responsible for complying with applicable data protection obligations.
This may include providing privacy notices, restricting access to personal information, and protecting stored data.
Personal information such as player IP addresses, authentication credentials, private messages, and account details must not be unlawfully disclosed.
Customers should avoid exposing sensitive information in public logs or unsecured files.
8. Abuse Reports
Suspected violations of this policy may be reported through Purpify's official support channels.
Reports should include relevant information, such as:
- The affected service, hostname, or IP address.
- A description of the suspected activity.
- Relevant dates or timestamps.
- Supporting evidence, where available.
Please avoid submitting unnecessary personal information or illegal material.
We assess reports based on the available facts. Receiving a complaint does not automatically establish that a customer violated this policy.
9. Enforcement
Purpify may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate measures to protect customers, infrastructure, and third parties.
Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, actions may include:
- Issuing a warning or requesting corrective action.
- Temporarily restricting affected features or network access.
- Suspending an affected service during an investigation.
- Terminating services for serious or repeated violations.
- Cooperating with competent authorities where legally required or permitted.
For non-urgent violations, we will normally provide an explanation and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
Immediate intervention may be necessary in cases involving active attacks, compromised systems, serious safety threats, or binding legal obligations.
10. Appeals and Disputes
Customers may contest enforcement decisions through our official support channels.
We will consider relevant explanations, supporting information, and newly available evidence.
Where legally and operationally appropriate, we will explain the reason for an enforcement decision.
Suspension or termination does not automatically eliminate statutory refund rights or permit unconditional forfeiture of prepaid service fees.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy to reflect changes in our services, infrastructure, security requirements, or legal obligations.
The most recent version will be published on our website with its updated revision date.
Material changes affecting existing customers will be handled in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.
